Robert York, Jr.

Mr. Robert York, Jr. was born August 16, 1952 in Benart, Mississippi to Robert York, Sr. and Precious Lee Williams. He completed his life’s journey on Friday, August 30, 2019. Age 67 years.

Robert was the second oldest of ten brothers and nine sisters. He attended Saginaw Public Schools and was later employed by the General Motors Corporation.
Robert had a love for art and really enjoyed reading. He was compassionate and ambitious. He loved life and enjoyed being a member of the Soul Survivors Motor Cycle Club.

More than anything, Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved his family dearly and was a giving and devoted friend. His presence, smile and beautiful spirit will be missed but forever remembered.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sr. and Precious Lee York; sisters, Odessa, Arliene, Lacreasha, Macie, Bonnie Brandon; brother, Steven Brandon; special nephew, Alan “Shane” Hutson.

He is survived by his only child, Natanya Louis; nine brothers, Alexander, Fredrick, Sylvester, Travis, Greg, Ronald, Roger, Alexander, Robert III; four sisters, Sheila, Tina, Mary, Melissa; aunt, Elvira York; uncle, Jed; special cousins, Bernice, Verna, Erma York; mother of his daughter, Shirley Louis; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including devoted friends Pete Cannon, Larry Parham, Tammy, Joyce, Karen and Bubby.
