Roberta Busch, 6th of eight children, was born in Blytheville, Arkansas to the late Gussie Lee Johnson and the Late BF Johnson, on January 6th, 1952.
She attended Armorel School in Arkansas, but later went on to finish her general education where she received her certificate of diplomacy through the Penn Foster High School. Roberta worked in several jobs in the Medical Field as a Certified Nurse Assistant,in 2004 she retired from the Ingham Regional Medical Center now known as “McLaren-Greater Lansing Hospital” due to her medical condition. Roberta was a devoted mother and woman of God, she received her License as an Ordained Minister of the Gospel on September 18, 1988 from the late Rev. John Irvin Williams, SR. from the Macedonia Baptist Church of Lansing MI. She later went on to serve and continue her Ministry work as an Evangelist under Pastor Walter Allen, of the Divine Destiny Outreach Ministries, where she served faithfully in the ministry, as a Sunday School Teacher, Outreach Coordinator, custodial and intercessor. Roberta loved the Lord, she served in whatever capacity she could, but her passions were intercessory prayer and teaching faithfully every Tuesday and Friday at the Volunteers of America and visiting the nursing homes. She was committed to reaching out to many souls and introducing them to Christ.
Roberta truly loved her family, but she adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She would do whatever she could to make sure they knew about God and Church. Even if it meant going by their houses to invite them to the various programs we would have at the Church; or to remind them that they need to get their lives on track. She was really concerned about her grandchildren and their well-being. She would make sure they got to all of their school events and make sure they were all okay. Roberta enjoyed shopping at the thrift stores, something she and her grandchildren would do faithfully. She loved creating and painting things, decorating and being around family. She loved family events, family dinners and her Sunday evening walks with the grand children when it was warm outside. She loved gospel music and singing.
On Friday December 16th, 2017, our beloved mother took her last breathe at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, surrounded by her children and loved ones. God called our servant home, her presence will forever be in our hearts.
Roberta leaves to cherish her memory and will be truly missed by her children, Raymond Jackson(Fiancee’Keona), Sherline(Aaron Milton), Francine(Walter Allen), Ineak Jackson, all of Lansing, Nicole(Darnell Falls) of Green Bay Wisconsin.
