Rodney Bishop passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at his residence in Saginaw, Michigan. He was born January 22, 1977, in Chicago Heights, Illinois to Rhonda Ledbetter and Eddie Johnson.
Rodney, “Rod” as we called him, had a heart of gold. Rodney moved to Michigan, went to Job Corps, and became a culinary arts expert. He attended church faithfully in his earlier years and served as an usher. Rodney loved to cook. Rod was always there when you needed a friend, and he would give you the shirt off his back. He had a smile that you could not resist.
Rodney leaves to cherish loving memories his parents, Rhonda Ledbetter, Eddie (Brenda) Johnson; stepdad, Delennon Savage; 8 sisters, Francine, Rhonda, and Cheryl Ledbetter, Myousha Smith, Breanna Bell, Raehunon Jenkins, Ishawna Johnson and Keshonna Usher; 4 brothers, Charles, Jason, and Freddrick Ledbetter, and Eddie Johnson Jr.; 4 uncles Norwood, Gregory, Timothy and Nathion Ledbetter; 6 great-nieces, 3 great-nephews; 1 sister-in-law, Tasha Johnson; 2 brothers in-law, Rodney Jenkins, and Pierre Bell; special friend, Sylvia Mundo; a host of cousins and friends whom he loved dearly.
Rodney was predeceased by his grandparents, Fred (Elizabeth) Ledbetter; uncles, Freddy, Dennis, and Anthony Ledbetter; nephew, Travon Price, and aunt, Ida Frances Ledbetter.
