Mr. Roland Craig McDole “Disco” passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023, at his residence in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 58 years. Roland was born February 12, 1965, in Saginaw, Michigan to Barbara Jean Swilley-McDole and Samuel Roy McDole “Singing Sam.”
Roland was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He graduated from Rueben Daniels. Roland enjoyed fishing, listening to music, playing chess, detailing cars, singing, and dancing. Disco was always willing to lend a helping hand. Disco loved his family and friends and was the life of any party. He will be greatly missed.
Disco leaves to cherish his memory two brothers, Roy Erwin McDole, Anchorage, Alaska, and Robert Allen McDole, Saginaw, Michigan; three aunts, Anna Marie Bowens, Saginaw, Michigan, Mary Harris, and Arloina Surles; seven uncles, Isaac Swilley “Main,” Elmer Swilley “Munk,” Jimmie Lee “PeeWee” (Nina) Swilley, Cliff, Johnny, Oscar, and Lloyd McDole; and his special friend, Lynn Greer “Snoop.”
Roland was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Roy and Barbara Jean Swilley McDole; grandparents, Joe and Leola Swilley, Danny Bell Oates McDole and Sam McDole; and special aunt, Patricia Ann Youngblood-Swilley.
