Our beloved Ronald Gissendanner (62) of Saginaw, Michigan departed his life on Sunday, July 18, 2021. He was surrounded by loved ones and friends. He was born October 27, 1958, in Saginaw, Michigan, son of the late Gloryetta and Monroe Gissendanner. Ron was the 1st born of four children from this union. He accepted Christ at an early age and attended the South 17th Street, Church of Christ. Ron graduated from Saginaw Special Academy.
Athletics runs in the family, and Ron was no exception! He was an active participant with the Special Olympics in Saginaw. He won 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place ribbons in a variety of sporting activities including his favorite, bowling in his youth well into his adult life.
Ron looked forward to attending day programs at the Community Ties North organization of Saginaw. During COVID-19, when activities were virtual, he continued to participate. Ron was a huge fan of the Detroit Tigers. He loved attending live games and the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort. Ron enjoyed, watching movies, having an extremely organized closet (whatever you do…do not touch his things without permission) and spending money on pop and “hot” chips.
