Mr. Ronald Jerry Patton passed away Friday, April 25, 2014 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 73 years. He was born July 25, 1940 in Saginaw, Michigan to Ethel and Willie Patton.
Ronnie was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, Michigan who enjoyed walking this city. He grew up on 5th Street while spending many summers in Arkansas. Ronnie would walk from his parents home where he resided off Outer Drive and Dresden Court to Big Boys restaurant on Holland and then to where ever he felt he wanted to go. Everyone that knew Ronnie knew he was a walking man. He liked to take pictures and would take pictures of everyone he knew. In his last years Ronnie resided at the Buena Vista Senior Community, where he was surrounded by friends whom he had known throughout his life. Ronnie for the most part was a quiet man, only speaking when he felt he had something to say or when talking to a pretty girl, always the gentlemen.
Ronnie leaves to cherish his memory three brothers, Willie Sonny boy (Marreita), Robert Patton and Marvin Patton; one sister, Arlene (Logan) Patton; a host of nephews, great nephews, nieces, great nieces and cousins including a special nephew, Victor Logan and a special niece, Sharon Patton Baby.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and Willie Patton, grandparents, Friday and Minnie Hall, Michael and Jessie Patton, one sister, Sharon Patton-Boose, two nieces, Debbie Boose and Anisa Patton-Taylor.
We are most grateful for the gift of friends like you, who have been so kind and thoughtful during these hours of sorrow. Your prayers, visits, calls, flowers and every act of kindness, have given us strength and inspiration to face this hour. May God continue to bless each of you. And a special thanks to Heartland Care Facility, Covenant 4th Floor ICU Staff. The Patton Family
