Our beloved Mr. Ronnie Chandler (Bodie) passed away suddenly at his home Wednesday, June 8, 2011. Age 58 years. Ronnie was born May 13, 1953 in Tangipahoa, Louisiana to Lonnie and Gladys Chandler.
Ronnie graduated from Saginaw High School and went on to join the United States Army and received an honorable discharge February 1, 1974. He retired from General Motors and started Rons maintenance service. He enjoyed traveling, working on cars, reading, bowling and helping within his community.
He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Ronald Corey Jones, one daughter both of Lansing, MI; mother, Gladys Chandler; two brothers, Clifton Chandler, Donnie Chandler; three sisters, Nina (Willard) Sparks, Exsie Chandler, Teiawana Chandler, all of Saginaw; two granddaughters, Jasmine Jones of Lansing, MI, Taylor Jones of Atlanta, GA; many other nieces, nephews, other relatives, including a special aunt, Lucille Robertson of Louisiana; special cousins, Jimmy Chandler, Randy Lee both of Louisiana, and many special friends in Saginaw, Michigan.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Chandler; his paternal grandparents, Washington and Alma Chandler; maternal grandparents, Lillie Ford and Echo Wilson; one brother, Charles Edward Chandler.
