Roosevelt (Lansing) Pearson

Mr. Roosevelt Pearson made his Heavenly transition on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at the age of 78 years. He was born July 14, 1936 to Anna Marcus Pearson and Eddie Pearson in Tuskegee, Alabama.
Roosevelt was educated in Macon County Public Schools and attended Alabama State University. He relocated to Lansing, Michigan in 1967 and married his beloved Gladys Lee Smith Bessie. Roosevelt affectionately known as Roe was employed with General Motors Corporation and was a member of UAW Local 652. He retired after 32 years of faithful service. Roosevelt was a member of Rivers of Life Church under the leadership of Pastors Jesse and Bridgette Brown.
Roe leaves to cherish his memories, funny attitude and calling everyone funny names, his wife Gladys; daughters, Brenda McKinstry and Constance LaCapra both of Las Vegas, Nevada and Andrea Elizabeth Husband of Lansing, Michigan; one son, Baran Roojon Pearson of Lansing, Michigan; spiritual daughters, Greta Trice, Zianne Thomason and Sabrina Todd; brother, Ludie (Cora) Pearson, many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, mother, father, three sisters and two brothers.
The family of Roosevelt Pearson wishes to thank everyone for their love and support during our time of bereavement. Knowing that one day, everyone will cross the same threshold, it is comforting to know that in our time of need, there are special people like you.
