Ms. Rose Marie Lively passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan, Texas. Age 56 years. She was born November 3, 1963 in Saginaw, Michigan to John and Mary Francis Lively.
She was a resident of Bryan, Texas, having relocated there from Saginaw when her health declined. Ms. Lively attended Saginaw Public Schools and was a graduate of Saginaw High School “C/O 1982.” She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. Prior to relocating to Texas, Rose attended Mt. Moriah Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Johnie F. Edwards, and New Galilee Baptist Church, Pastor Luciose Lewis.
Rose Marie Lively, a kind, sweet and compassionate person, cherished time spent with family, especially her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was very loving and caring and was quite the jokester. There was never a boring moment when in her presence. Rose’s hobbies included crocheting, quilting and cooking. Her favorite pastimes included baking sweet potato pies and watching her favorite TV shows, Walker Texas Ranger and Charmed. Rose Marie enjoyed listening to and singing gospel music. During the holidays, her home was always decorated as she welcomed family and friends to share in the holiday spirit. She will truly be missed.
She leaves to cherish sweet memories four daughters, Marquita, Temenika, Artisha and Quaneshia Lively, all of Bryan, Texas; one son, Marcus Lively, Saginaw, Michigan; grandchildren, Jay’den Byrd, Charm Lively, Dream Lively and Marcus Lively, Jr. She was joyfully awaiting the arrival of another grandchild. Rose also leaves two sisters, Deborah (Bobby) Lowe and Charlotte Lively, Saginaw, Michigan; one brother, John (Debra) Lively, Saginaw, Michigan; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; a very special nephew, De-Keiontae Lively, and a special friend, Alfred Conway.
Ms. Lively was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Francis Lively; maternal and paternal grandparents; one sister, Pamela Kay Lively; one brother, Carl Donald.
