Roselie Smith

Roselie Inez Smith Phyllis passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 84 years. She was born August 11, 1929 in Natchez, Mississippi to Jack and Beatrice Eastern.
Roselie was a lifelong and faithful member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Roderick Smith. She was a loving and generous person who loved helping others. Roselie cherished spending time with her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend whose presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory one son, Jimmy Stewart of Saginaw, Michigan; one stepson, Anthony (Tykheema) Loster; two grandchildren, Shunique Holmes and Alexis Lopez; the mothers of her grandchildren, Nichole Holmes and Tracy Lopez; one sister, Johnie B. Stewart of Detroit, Michigan; two brothers, Robert Eastern of New Orleans, Louisiana and Reverend George Eastern of Detroit, Michigan; several nieces, nephews and cousins; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Ms. RoseMary White, Ms. Green, Mrs. Margaret Aguilera, Ms. Lottie and Ms. Helen Daniels.
Roselie was preceded in death by her 1st husband, James Henderson, 2nd husband, Albert Smith, five sisters, two brothers, one nephew, Joe Stewart.
The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff of Covenant Healthcare 4North unit, Neuro ICU and 5East unit, Dr. Chokshi, the Holmes family, Lopez family, Wilkins family and all the family and friends who showed their love and support during our time of bereavement.
