Our dearly beloved mother, Queen of The Diggs Clan, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend, Rosie Mae Diggs, mounted her wings and went home to be with the Lord after a short illness with her family at her bedside on Monday, March 24, 2014. Rosie was born on April 17, 1948 in Aberdeen, Mississippi to the Booker T. and Clara B. WoodsBrandon.
Rosie moved to Michigan as a young woman where she met and married the love of her life, Robert L. Diggs Jr. on Sept 14, 1964. He preceded her in death in 2011. She retired from Visiting Angels after 18 years of Health Care Services. She was a member of The Way, The Truth and The Life Ministries (WTLM) where she served as one of the church mothers. Rosie was a graceful woman with style and class. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She also enjoyed shopping and sharing her God given wisdom with all who knew and loved her. Rosie was a loving, very kind and generous person whom always looked out for her family and her friends.
Rosie leaves to cherish her memory to her four children, Christopher Diggs (Mildred Culberson) and Anthony Diggs, both of Saginaw, Michigan, twin daughters, Stacy Diggs (Michael Campbell) of Saginaw, Michigan and Tracy (Mark) Coleman of Ypsilanti, Michigan; her mother in-law, Rosie L. Diggs; two brothers, Donald (Janet) Brandon of Detroit, Michigan and Dana (Mia) Brandon of Ypsilanti, Michigan; three sisters, Earline Hollis, Mae Lee Brandon of Saginaw, Michigan and Mable (Cleveland) Comer of Ypsilanti, Michigan; three stepchildren, Andrew Foster of Louisville, Kentucky, Kenneth Coleman of Pontiac, Michigan and Chermese Smith of Saginaw, Michigan; sixteen grand-children, Cameron, Chrisha, Chloe, Lacandis, Anthony Jr., Sean-Anthony, Joseph Jr., Jovante, Jomar, Jadaya, Jaliyah, Mark Jr., Charquise, Geroy, DeMarkus and Tyler; five great-grandchildren; a special uncle, Willie Guy (Shelia) Woods; special aunt, Nancy Woods; fifteen sisters-in-law; ten brothers-in-law; a host of nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Thomas Davis and a special niece whom she affectionately called Too-Sweet TaShawn Davis; several cousins including special cousins, Sherman and Vera Woods and Angela(George) Parkes; and her special friend whom she loved like a daughter, Bridgett Neloms; many other relatives and friends including her special friends, Jackie, Ella and Joseph Barnes Sr.; Rosie also leaves her dog Redd, whom she loved dearly.
Rosie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Diggs Jr., her parents, Booker T. and Clara B. Brandon, sisters, Sally Brandon-Lewis, Clara T. Vaughn, Dianne King-Lindsey, Bonnie Brandon and one brother Steven Brandon, one grandson, Christopher Diggs Jr., one grand-daughter, Tyece Diggs and one great-grandson Micah Diggs. The family wishes to give a special thanks to the Reverence Homecare staff Mollie, Marquita Hardy and Corsica Long, as well as our many relatives and friends for their acts of kindness during our time of bereavement.
