Rosie Marie Taylor was born April 13, 1940 in Osceola, Arkansas, the daughter of Arthur Taylor and Mary Alice Carter. She was a blessing to her family for 81 years before God called her home on Saturday, May 29, 2021.
Rosie married Sampson Pittman on Christmas day in 1954. She was a church mother at Glorious Temple Dwelling Place for many years before moving her membership to New Faith Temple Church of God in Christ. She worked with adult foster care families.
Rosie Marie was honest, loyal, and fair. She loved being a church mother and assisting the pastor and wife. She was a second mother to her siblings at a very young age. She kept the family together and always made sure the family gathered for dinner. She was an example and a teacher to every young woman because she lived what she taught.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Sampson Pittman, Saginaw, Michigan; daughter, Darlene Anderson; stepdaughter, Atrola Washington; grandchildren, James (Toni) Clay, Rachelle Pittman, Saginaw, Michigan, Gretchen (Brent) Davis, Atlanta, Georgia, Faith (Troy) Webb, Saginaw, Michigan, Monica Anderson, Atlanta, Georgia, David (Sarina) Anderson, Saginaw, Michigan; siblings, George (Liz) Moore, Kathy Barnett, Hester Lowery, Shirley Jean Jones, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Shawn (Oscar) Letourneau, Sacramento, California; godmother, Geraldine Anderson; many great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, other loved ones and friends.
