On December 6, 2023, our lives forever changed when we lost our beloved Roy Lee West Jr. at the age of 60. Roy was born June 7, 1963, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Martha (Edward) Franklin and Roy West Sr.
Roy attended Arthur Hill High School graduating with the class of 1982. Roy was a well-rounded man he enjoyed remodeling homes, doing yardwork, fixing cars, and fishing. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Roy leaves to cherish his memory his mother Martha (Edward) Franklin; children Imen West, Imari West, Tatyana Packard, and Royalty West; grandchildren, Jae’Den West, Chance West-Fowlkes, Lee’Ayisa Parker, Cyd’Nie Virges, Sanaii Mitchell, Jayce Harvey, and Ja’Kari Packard; siblings, Vernon (Constance) Nelson, Steve West, Reginald (Luven) West, Dennis (Stephanie) West Sr., Bakari West Sr., Katherine West, Kialonee Bowie, and Terrance Brewer; special niece, Catrina "Trina" West; special friends, Ms. Walker, Sylvia George-Stinson, and many other family and friends.
Roy was preceded in death by his father, Roy (Joyce) West Sr., brothers, Diallo and Guyanthony West, and his grandparents, Annie Nelson, and Eddie West Sr.
