Rubin S. Crump (Lansing)

July 10, 1940 — November 2, 2020

Mr. Rubin Sidney Crump passed away Monday, November 2, 2020, at his residence in Lansing, Michigan. Age 80 years. He was born to Bennie and Mamie Crump in Dublin, Mississippi. He was the seventh child out of ten.

Rubin accepted Christ as his personal savior, as a young child at Elms Grove Baptist Church in Mississippi. Rubin was a devoted and loving husband to the love of his life, Cora Crump. He moved to Lansing, Michigan in 1965 where he began his career at Motor Wheel until his retirement in 1995. Rubin loved working on cars and spending time with his family.

Mr. Crump leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 58 years, Cora Crump; 7 children, Gary (Brenda) of Palmdale, California, Fred of Peninsula, California, Arron of Lansing, Michigan, Gwyn of Palmdale California, LaBrayon (Kelly) of Lansing, Michigan, Sharon of Lansing, Michigan, and LeVertis of Lansing, Michigan; 13 grandchildren, Arron, Deanna, Mercedes, Jacob, Matthew, Crystal, LaBrayon, Jr., KeTrianna, Bryce, LeVertis, Jr., Brenna, Mya, and Loah; seven great-grandchildren; 3 siblings, Eddie of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Willie of Tutwiler, Michigan, and Eunice of Lansing, Michigan; 3 brothers-in-law, Ruben of Shreveport, Louisiana, Larry of Saginaw, Michigan, and Cecil of Flint, Michigan; sister-in-law, Afrieka of Memphis, Tennessee; uncle Talmas Hoskins; many other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by; Bennie and Mamie Crump; 6 siblings, M.L. Crump, Bennie Crump, Jr., Ledora Patterson, Ann Smith, J.L. Crump, and Johnnie Crump.
