Ruby Gary

September 21, 1928 — June 13, 2015

Saturday, June 13, 2015 Ms. Ruby L. Gary peacefully made her transition to eternal rest. She was born September 21, 1928 in Rosedale, Mississippi to Abe Holden and Annie Hall.
After relocating to Saginaw, Michigan at an early age, Ruby attended Saginaw Public Schools. She was a member of World Outreach Campus under the leadership of Pastor Hurley J. Coleman Jr. Ruby was previously employed at Vlassic Pickle Company. She enjoyed playing Bingo, shopping, art and music. Ruby loved to travel. She loved having lots of trinkets around her. Ruby had a great personality and an awesome sense of humor. She loved her family, neighbors and friends. Being around her loved ones was very uplifting to her spirit. Ruby was a very loving, kind and forgiving person. She enjoyed helping anyone in need. Ruby had a smile that would light up a room. Her beautiful smile and wonderful presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory five daughters, Katherine Vail, Florine Coghill, Sharon Watson, Barbara (Oscar) Bailey and Rosemary Gary; two sons, Charles (Tanya) Gary and Willie Gary; grandchildren, Jeremy Watson, Danina Watson, Rashonda Watson, Fatina Kendall, Jarvis Gary, Tony Gary, Andre Gary, Angela Wanzo, Natasha Gary, Syreeta Gary and Charrell Gary; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Katie Lane and Rosa Wasson; one brother, Joseph Lane Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; many other relatives and friends including her special friends, Donna Weems, Linda Kingkay, Maryann Berry, Denise Luarck and Theresa Marshall.
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Gary, parents, Annie Hall and Abe Holden, one son, Arthur Hanes Jr., one daughter, Josephine Gary, two sisters, Myrtle Johnson and Dolly Harrington, special friend, Johnnie C. Weems.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Pastor Theodore and 1st Lady Watson, Pastor Hurley Coleman Jr., Carol Burnstein, Tom and Mary Pointer, the staff of Grace Hospice and Dr. Marvin Keeling.
