Ruth Ann Geralds

Ms. Ruth Ann Geralds, our beloved mother, daughter, sister, and aunt was called home to rest December 15, 2020. She was born October 3, 1957 in Buchanan, Michigan, the daughter of James Thompson, Sr. and Mary Ann Geralds.

Ruth was reared in Saginaw, Michigan, attending Saginaw Public Schools. She was a volunteer at the Saginaw Youth Protection Council (InnerLink) for over ten years. She also volunteered at the Saginaw Soup Kitchen for over five years. In 2007, she moved to Inkster, Michigan to live her remaining years.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, James Thompson, Sr. and Mary Ann Geralds; sister, Martha Geralds; grandmother, Martha Deshazer.

Ruth leaves to cherish her memory two beloved sons, Marcus Gearlds and Antonio Poole, both of Inkster, Michigan; two granddaughters, Markeita Geralds, Inkster Michigan, Aleena Poole, Lapeer, Michigan; four sisters, Barbara Geralds, Inkster, Michigan, Gloria Geralds, Saginaw, Michigan, Trenda and Georgianna Thompson, both of Pearl, Mississippi; one brother, James Thompson, Jr., Minneapolis, Minnesota; four nephews, Kareem Geralds, Saginaw, Michigan, Asirin Geralds, Shelby, Michigan, Terrell and Tremon Thompson, both of Pearl, Mississippi; one niece, Kareema Moore, Saginaw, Michigan; one aunt, Tessie Garner, Niles, Michigan; many other loving relatives and friends.
