On Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at 10:57AM, Ruth Bridgette Peña, beloved daughter, sister, and mother, graduated to Glory from the home of her parents in Elkhart, Indiana. Ruth was 52 years of age when she grew tired of fighting health complications and passed in peace and comfort.
Ruth enjoyed trail walks, fishing, journaling, and writing poetry. Her taste in music was Motown oldies, soft rock, and contemporary gospel. Ruth was quite fond of a recent worship song called “The Blessing” she had memorized it word for word and sang it with the music on Saturday, March 5, to her father and mother. Ruth would always insist that her Spanish Fiedeo was better than most cooks. Whenever her younger sister cooked a dish for her to taste, Ruth would always say “You know I taught you, don’t you?” She always knew how to bring a chuckle.
Ruth leaves to cherish her memories: her three children, Anthony Michael Mills, Alicia Marie Beasaw, and Blaine Allen Himebaugh; six grandchildren, Ethenoah, Nevaeh, Lamario, (born to Alicia), Breanna, Faith, and Noah (born to Anthony); parents, Mary (Gil) Ramon; brother, Phillip Lee Ramon; two sisters, Olivia Crystal Ramon, and Kimberly Ann Short; nieces, Kassi, Ocean, Mariah, Adalina, and Stella; nephews, Jaimasen, Izsak, Christian and Phillip II; two great-grandnephews, Anthony and Alexavier Amador; one great-niece, Analia Amador; many cousin including a special cousin, Sophia Peña.
