Ruth Trainor (Lansing)

Mrs. Ruth Trainor passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at The Willows of East Lansing, Michigan. Age 77 years. She was born September 20, 1940 the oldest daughter of 14 children to parents, Joe Irby and Ardessie Fleming in Arkabutta, Mississippi.

Ruth moved to Lansing, Michigan in 1969 with her husband, Earl Trainor, Jr. and 6 kids. They were blessed with 4 more children are arriving in Lansing. Ruth was a wonderful mother, grandma and great-grandmother. She loved everyone and everyone belonged to her. She opened her home and heart to all she met. Ruth loved to cook and always made sure everyone was feed. She never turned anyone away. Ruth was a member of St. Matthews A.M.E. Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted husband, Earl; 10 children, Alonzo (Earline), Belinda, Floyd (Ireah), Charles (Marguerite), Cynthia, Randy (Matricia), Anthony (Leeandrea), Lydell (Delia), Tyrone (Roslyn) and Felicia; 35 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren; 10 siblings; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Arma and Linda; brother, Columbus; sisters-in-law, Velma Jones and Will Ella Trainor and brother-in-law, George “G-boy” Jones.
