Sabrina Brown

December 21, 1959 — May 6, 2020

Mrs. Sabrina Michelle Brown (nee Smith) was born December 21, 1959 in Saginaw, Michigan and she completed her life’s journey on May 6, 2020 at the age of 60 at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital.

Sabrina was a proud graduate of Saginaw High School (℅ ‘78) and began work at General Motors upon graduation, where she met her husband. Together they raised their children, Victor and Jasmine. After spending some time out of the workforce to focus on raising their family, Sabrina joined Francis Reh Academy’s team as their Lead Cook. For over 21 years, Sabrina faithfully made sure the children and staff at the Academy were well-fed and cared for. Known throughout Saginaw for her delicious fried tacos, she loved to make others laugh and went out of her way to make sure everyone knew how much she loved them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James H. Smith and Donie L. Smith; son, Victor Brown; sister, Louise Tyson Derden; brother, Antoine (Papa) Smith and nephew, Roy (PeeWee) Tyson.

Sabrina leaves a lifetime of memories with her husband, Marvin (Victor) Brown; daughter, Jasmine Brown (Tylar Graham II); grandchildren, Taylynn, Tylar III and Taylar Graham, and Shantoria Brown; brother, David (Bozie) Smith; niece, Vanesha Tyson; nephew, Gregory Tyson; special cousins, Josephine Haynes, Yarbra Kelly, and Clareeta (Candie) McKnight; and special friend, Myrtle Burton.

The family would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to family and friends for all their kindness and support during this very difficult time. We ask that you help keep Sabrina’s memory alive by showing others how much they mean to you, both in word and deed.
