Sadeed Battle (Lansing)

Mr. Sadeed Lamonté Battle passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024. Age 45 years. He was born February 10, 1979, in Atlanta, Georgia. The son of William Battle and Gary “Pops” & Roslyn Bucks.

Sadeed, affectionately known as “Nutboy”, loved music and dancing, his dream was to become a professional mimer. He had the kindest heart you could ever ask for and he could always make you laugh, no matter what. Sadeed was always smiling and never met a stranger. He was a true warrior and would never let anyone tell him he couldn’t do something, He would say, “I can do that”. Sadeed was just a gentle soul. Rest in Peace my son, you are greatly missed. We all miss you Deed “Nutboy”.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Marquesha Drumwright; granddaughter, A’Zara Rodgers; grandson, Zajarius Rodgers; parents, Roslyn Bucks and William Battle; stepfather, Gary “Pops” Bucks; grandmothers, Elizabeth Battle and Grandma C; sisters, Terrika Jeffina West and Bianca Battle; brother, Devine Battle; many nieces and nephews; aunts, Gloria Kelley, Doris Freeland, April Smith. Regina, Stephanie, Romona Sharon, Sheilia, Stacy, Sherrie, Paula, Shandra, and Gwen; uncles, Norris, Freddie, Dave, and Ray Ray; cousins, Tisha, Nee-Nee, Man, Scott, Monique, Felicia, Shawnie Bawnie, Ron, Maurice "Reesie Boo", and many more; and friends, Dorthea, Leroy, and Tantonia "Tanny".

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Berdie Freeland; grandad, Richard Moss; and uncles, Willie Norman Smith and John Alvin Smith.
