Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, Sallie Stoudemire, passed away peacefully Friday, August 1, 2014. She was born May 22, 1922 in Autaugaville, Alabama to Moten and Rosa (Davis) Smith.
Sallie accepted Christ at the early age of 14 years and she united with Peace & Goodwill Baptist Church. She relocated to Saginaw, Michigan in 1967. She then became a member of New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor M.T. Thompson, Sr. and Pastor Robert E. Donald. Mother Stoudemire enjoyed reading her Bible and studying the Word of God. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her legacy will live on through her son, Robert Robinson Sr. of Defiance, Ohio; one daughter, Betty Robinson Jackson of Saginaw, Michigan; grandchildren, Venessa Wooten of Montgomery, Alabama, Dexter Robinson, Robert Robinson Jr., Karsten R. Robinson and Calvin Jackson all of Saginaw, Michigan, Shawntella Haynes and Demond Haynes both of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Lalani Choice of Sterling Heights, Michigan; twenty-six great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Julia Bell Lewis, Jessie Maude Harris and Curtistein Cromer all of Prattville, Alabama; one brother, Willie (Maggie) Smith of Moundville, Alabama; many special nieces, nephews other relatives and friends including her New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church family.
Mother Stoudemire was preceded in death by her parents, six sisters and six brothers.
