Sandra Faye Kindall-Knox was born August 9, 1956 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. The daughter of the late Phillip and Catherine (Bethany) Kindall. Sandra accepted Christ at an early age. As a child and into her young adult years she attended Union Missionary Baptist Church. She was a current member of I Believe Worship Center, where she attended faithfully.
Sandra was educated through the Lansing School District and graduated from Everett High School. She worked as a cook for several restaurants, a custodian for the Lansing School District and an aide for the Legislative Service Bureau.
Sandra enjoyed crocheting, watching westerns, reading romance novels, and traveling with her special cousin, Lashun Turner. What she loved most was being Nana. Sandra loved children and her family. If you were looking for Nana you had to look no further than the kitchen where she was whipping up several dishes to gather family together. The laughter of family filled her heart with joy. From coordinating holiday concerts in her basement to trips to Lake Lansing including nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and all the Rulison Street neighborhood children.
Sandra was united in matrimony with Malcolm J. Knox on September 1, 1979. They remained friends and he actively participated in Sandra’s care until she passed.
