Sarah Ann Foxx

December 24, 1963 — September 17, 2023

Ms. Sarah Ann Foxx was born December 24, 1963, Union Springs, Alabama, the daughter of Marshall Sr. and Sallie Foxx. Sarah was the youngest of twelve children and she loved to be loved. She was a charismatic lady with a huge personality, and she knew exactly how to leave a smile on your face. Sarah gave her life to Christ at an early age while attending St. Luke A.M.E Church in Enon, Alabama. She will be remembered for her love, smile, jokes, singing, and her infamous pinches.

Sarah moved to Saginaw, Michigan in 1983 to be with her older sisters, Cherry and Shirley. After moving she did not shy away from her country roots. She gained tons of close friends and began working. She had a huge heart for children and social services. Sarah worked for over ten years at Innerlink for Runaways, where she mentored teens and young adults. She worked five years at RCI Plant, but her huge heart for the children took her back to what she loved doing. She served a few years as a lunch aid in the Bridgeport School District and worked for Holy Cross Services nine years. Sarah provided the children with love, empathy, and security. Outside of the major impact she had on her family, Sarah’s impact on her staff and the children she worked with is admirable. May her services to the world never go unnoticed.

Sarah departed this life on Sunday, September 17, 2023, surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was predeceased by her parents, Marshall, Sr. and Sallie Foxx; three brothers, Leo and Charlie (Linda) Foxx, Robert Foxx; one sister, Shirley Foxx-Williams; one brother-in-law, Cornelius Roberson.

Sarah leaves to cherish her memory three loving children, Desiree (Andrea) Foxx, Westland, Michigan, China (Markeen Sr.) Baker, and Roderick Bady Jr., all of Saginaw, Michigan; four loving brothers, Marshall Foxx Jr., Portland, Oregon, Henry (Martha) Foxx, Rozil (Marilyn) Foxx, and Phillip (Thelma) Foxx, all of Union Springs, Alabama; three loving sisters, Cherry Roberson, Saginaw, Michigan, Mary Milbry, Akron, Ohio, and Letty (Joe) Harris, Union Springs, Alabama; one brother-in-law, James Williams, Saginaw, Michigan; four wonderful grandchildren, Jada Foxx, Markeen Baker Jr., Khalil Foxx and Melanie Baker “Moo Moo;” a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and two special nephews, Daniel Norwood “Nu Nu” and Jaylen Foxx; three special friends, Jennifer Bodie, Angela Myers, and Margie Florida.
