Shanell (Lansing) Roland

Shanell Lorane Roland Peaches was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at McLaren Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. Age 37 years. Shanell was born on July 7, 1979 to Gerald and Laurene Burton in Detroit, Michigan. She is the fourth of ten siblings.
Shanell was a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and woman of the Most High God, one who will be missed by many. She accepted Christ and began her spiritual pilgrimage at an early age. Shanell was a dedicated member of service to New Hope Church of God in Christ under Superintendent Willie Wade and Greater Saint Joseph Tabernacle Church under Bishop Joseph Futch, Jr. Her membership at the time of her death was with Joshua Generation Cornerstone Church under the direction of Pastor Joseph Atkins. Shanell educated in the Lansing School District. She contributed her time to various charitable services, loved to pray with anyone who was willing. Peaches enjoyed family and friends for meals, games and church functions. If you knew Shanell, you knew someone that was caring, concerned and no respecter of persons. One that was real, didnt like drama, but kept it 100, down to earth t-shirt and blue jean skirt chic all the wayall the time.
Shanells life will be forever cherished by her loving husband, Robert; her parents, Gerald and Laurene Burton; son, Hubert Hooper, IV; 7 sisters, Trateesha (DeSean), Tennille (Daylee) Bradley, Lashone Burton, Danielle (Job) Childs, KaKeyla (David) Smith, Semaj (Dayvon) Hayden, and Kijana Marsall; 2 brothers, Gerald (Makia) Burton and Robert (Tenecha) Burton; mother-in-law, Mary Roland; grandmother-in-law, Elnora Roland; sister-in-law, Marie Roland; 5 brother-in-laws, Mitchell, Randy, D.C., Terry and Frankie Roland; 3 god-children, Adam, Jevon, and Shaniya whom she loved very much with many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, JaJuan Roland.
