Shanette Latrice Franklin Frog passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013. Age 26 years. She was born June 1, 1987 in Chicago, Illinois to Pearlnetta Franklin and Elbert Buford.
Shanetta affectionately known as Frog was raised in Saginaw, Michigan. She gave her life to Christ in 2011 and became a member of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor John Edwards. Shanetta was a student at Grand Rapids Community College. She enjoyed dancing, singing, fishing and doing hair. Shanetta loved spending time with her family and friends. Her children were her greatest love. She was loved greatly by many and will be missed by all who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Gavariya Moore; two sons, Gevaries Franklin Vance and Gahavis Tolliver; six sisters, Lanetta, Melissa, Vanessa and Georgina Franklin, Dawona and Camekia Jones; three brothers, Elbert (Venita) Franklin and Alfonzo (Camille) Franklin; stepfather, Juan Guhardo; twenty nieces and thirteen nephews; seven aunts and seven uncles; several cousins including special cousins, Kisha, Tyrone, Shawn P., Shawn B., Yolanda, Tameka F. and Shavon; godsisters, Katherine Jones, Danya El-Almin, Leshanda Hall and Charva Feagin; godbrothers, David Jones, Ray Jones and James Shelton; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Sharee Dawkins, Sharee Shettfield, Tyrone Ware.
Shanetta was preceded in death by her parents, Pearlnetta Franklin and Elbert Buford, sister, Kameeka Jones and many more close, special family members and friends.
