Mrs. Sharon Denise Davis Wilson returned home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 22, 2024, in Lansing, Michigan, at the age of 69 years old. She was born in Lansing, Michigan on Thursday, December 30, 1954, to Alonzo Lee and Elizabeth Davis.
The day before her departure from this life, Sharon celebrated her 52nd wedding anniversary with her devoted and caring husband, Ronald.
Sharon had a thoughtful and loving spirit and everyone who came into contact with her was sure to leave her presence with a smile on their faces. She loved her family dearly and was deeply loved in return. She would spend countless hours playing board games and putting together puzzles with her grandchildren, and on any given Sunday she could be found in the kitchen baking her famous 7-Up pound cake or her delicious broccoli bake.
Prior to her health issues, Sharon worked for the Secretary of State for many years, and she was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. She enjoyed attending church services in person, and when her health took a turn, she would faithfully watch church online each and every Sunday.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 52 years, Ronald Wilson; two daughters: T’Shara (Michael) Cannon, and Anetra (Don-Akil) Wilson; four grandchildren: Da’viel Cannon, Aviance Wilson-Artis, Deja (Derrick) Foy, and Donovan Williams; three great-grandchildren: Milan Cannon-Owens, Cali Foy, and Harlem Foy; three sisters: Geraldine (James) Thomas, Barbara Baker, and Kay Taylor; six brothers; Jesse (Diane) Davis, Johnnie Davis, Roger Davis, Terry Davis, Charles (Rosalyn) Davis, and Gene (Denise) Davis; three sisters-in-love: Janice (Lester) Covington, Lynne Turner, and Kimberly Wilson; one aunt: Betty Gilmore; brother-in-love: Gordon Walkinhood; goddaughter: Janell Hall, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by parents: Alonzo Lee and Elizabeth Davis; brother: Robert Davis; sister: Deloris Walkinhood; father-in-love: Silas B. Wilson; mother-in-love: Ernestine Wilson; brothers-in-love: Allison Wilson and James Taylor; sister-in-love: Lee Esther Davis; and special friend: Jacquelyn Ridley.
