Sharon Lee Cannon (Holt)

Sharon Lee Cannon, age 76, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Saturday, March 18, 2023. She was born on August 22, 1946, in Royal Oak, Michigan to Kenneth and Thelma Cannon. Ms. Cannon worked as a Registered Nurse for over 40 years.

She leaves to cherish her memory children, Leah Hornberger of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Troy (Kathryn) Hornberger, Jr. of Verona, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Sean Hornberger, Kaitlyn Hornberger both of Verona, Wisconsin, and Sarah Hornberger of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; sister, Susan Ball of Shelby Township, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Thelma Cannon, and sister, Patricia Cannon of Crystal Lake, Illinois.

In her last selfless act on earth, Ms. Cannon donated her body for anatomical study to Michigan State University Division of Human Anatomy. After use in their teaching program (generally lasting one to three years) she will be cremated and buried in the University burial plot in East Lawn Memory Gardens in Okemos, Michigan.
