Sharyn Anita McIntyre (Lansing)

Mrs. Sharyn Anita McIntyre passed away Friday, July 19, 2024, at her residence in Lansing, Michigan. Age 78 years. She was born Tuesday, June 25, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Herbert Bennett and LaVerne Brownlow. 

LaVerne "Grandmere" and Sharyn relocated to Lansing Michigan, where LaVerne married Curtis "Paw Paw" Fluker. She worked for the school district for some years before changing her career path to administration & payroll at General Motors Corporation. Sharyn was retired from Human Resources with General Motors Corporation and thoroughly enjoyed her free time with shopping, traveling, and completing church activities at Friendship Baptist Church. She had a favorite pastime of watching movies at the theater, especially with “movie popcorn.”

Sharyn was a devoted and loving "Nana" to her grandchildren and a mother who, through her unwavering faith, set a firm foundation for her children. She was the eldest sibling who provided guidance and wisdom to her brother and sisters. Sharyn left everyone she encountered feeling appreciated, loved, and valued because “she looked at the goodness of a person.”

She leaves to cherish her memory daughter, Alycia McIntyre-Johnson; son, Ryan Aaron (Nyasha) McIntyre; granddaughter, Jasmyne; grandsons, Devin, Noah, and Mykah; sisters, Tamera and Leai; brother, John; sisters-in-law, Rosalind, Denise, Betty, and Cheryl; brother-in-law, Curtis; several nieces, nephews, many other beloved family and friends. 

Sharyn was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew “Jerry” McIntyre and parents, Curtis and LaVerne aka “Lois” Fluker.
