Shederick Johnson "Shacky"

Shederick D. Johnson "Shacky" passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at his home. Age 46 years. He was born July 2, 1971 in Saginaw, Michigan to Delores Johnson and James Oliver, and raised by Joseph Hamilton.

Shederick was employed at Restoration Community Outreach. He was baptized and accepted Christ at an early age. To know Shacky was to love him. His smile and his sense of humor would bring a smile to anyone in his presence. His pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. Shacky’s love extended not only to his family but friends as well. No matter what was asked, if he could help he would; he gave selflessly of himself. Shedrick was a good father, brother, grandfather, cousin, uncle and friend. We will miss his smile, laughter and love. We loved him but GOD loves him more. Rest on Love…Rest on.

Shedrick leaves to cherish his memory seven children and their mothers; his long-time girlfriend, Shawn Davis, mother of Chasity Davis and Timothy Samuel, former wife, Tasma Johnson, mother of Shacole, Cole, Shedrick Jr., Alexis Reed, Kayla, and Kiwon Johnson; seven grandchildren, Daniel, Demarkus, Miango, London, Parris, Emani and Emari; three sisters, Gwonder (Sammie) Johnson of Chicago, Illinois, Patrice Freeman, Chicago, Illinois, Nina(Cameron) Leonard, Orlando, Florida; four brothers, Romar (Audra) Johnson, Saginaw, Michigan, Harold(Brenda) Oliver, Texas, Derrick Bentley, Jackson, Michigan , and Vernon Jefferson, Kansas City; six aunts, Katherine Motley, Brenda Leak, Willie Ruth Toles, Shirley Oliver Hollaway, Josephine Oliver Smith, Katherine Oliver Smith; six uncles, Wendel (Andrea) Johnson, Jacob (Julia)Johnson, Richard (Linda) Johnson, William Oliver, Robert Oliver, and George Oliver; close friends, Shannon Osteen, Roy Harrell, Michael Nash, Victor Monroe, Antonio Ledesma, Ronnie Roe, and Bizzle; also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Shedrick was preceded in death by his mother, Delores Johnson; grandparents, Christine and Richard Johnson, Alex and Willie Mae Oliver; one grandson, Devin Davis; uncles, James, Walter, Charlie, and Larry, and three aunts, Carmaleta, Ruby, Voncile and Gwonder Lee.
