Ms. Sheila Brewer gained her wings on Monday, May 16, 2022 at Covenant Healthcare Cooper surrounded by her family. Age 61 years. Sheila was born December 10, 1960 in Saginaw, Michigan to James F. Brewer and Azelee (Young) Brewer. Sheila was the youngest of nine children.
Sheila attended Saginaw Public Schools and was a proud Saginaw High School Trojan Class of 1980. She was employed for many years for Saginaw Public schools as an Aide even long after she was placed on disability; she loved her students and they LOVED her. Sheila was a life-long member of Mt. Olive Institutional Missionary Baptist Church. She adored and loved her pastor, Dr. Marvin T. Smith, as well as Minister Marcelle Smith; she often spoke very highly of them both. Sheila never met a stranger and was the life of the party wherever she went. To know her, was to love her. She had a comedic personality and would have you laughing so hard, never allowing you to dampen her mood. She had a heart of gold and displayed her love in the lives of her family and friends.
Sheila leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Yatarra Brewer, Azlee Brewer; grandchildren, La’Bron Hunt, Jai’Mari Brewer, Kah’Ron Hunt, Corey Griffin, and DaMonie Henix Brewer; a special granddaughter, Ma’Khari Hunt; special nephews/sons, Marcus Brewer and Lance Brewer; brother, Willie (Mary) Brewer; sisters, Dorothy Brewer, Lavern Brewer, Donna (Gregory) Shipman, Connie Brewer, Tracy Brewer; aunts, Flora Arnett, Ocene Morris, Alice Fields, Helen Scott, Lillie Strong; uncles; Lincoln Young, Moses Brewer; nieces, Constanzer, Lisa, Romondra, Dinatria, Shadena, Myneshia, Aviyon; nephews, Stevie, Jo Nathan, Rayvon, Derrick, Charles (CJ), Coneilus; many great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Michelle Bond, Rosie Reed, Janice Anderson, Cheryl Hewitt, Anthony Henry and Bobby Martin.
Sheila was preceded in death by her daughter, Weserria Brewer; parents, James and Azelee Brewer; brother, Larry Brewer, sister, Deborah Brewer; her grandparents; one niece, Temeco Brewer; three nephews, Donnie, Antwan and JaQuay Brewer; several aunts and uncles.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff at Covenant Healthcare Cooper, Sonya Cameron, Karen Murphy and Ivan E. Phillips and the staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
