Sheila Kay Tolliver-Porter

Mrs. Sheila Kay Tolliver-Porter, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Bowling Green Manor in Bowling Green, Ohio, at the age of 68 years old. Sheila was born on October 5, 1955, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Mose and Dr. Marie Wright-Tolliver. She married Homer Porter, III on March 16, 1974, and to that union three children were born.

Sheila graduated from Buena Vista High School and went on to attend Western Michigan University. For many years she worked for Vlasic Pickle Company in Saginaw before retiring from Walmart in Indianapolis, IN. She enjoyed spending time with her family playing cards and cooking the best tacos in Saginaw.

Sheila is survived by her children, Terrence (Sarah) Porter, Sr., Deshawn (Erin) Porter Sr. both of Indianapolis, IN; Demetria (Larry) Graham of Bowling Green, OH. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, two brothers, David (Carol) Tolliver and Mose (Lori) Tolliver, and one sister Gwendolyn (Donnie) Chambers; aunts, Constance Jack, and Bonnie Price; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Sheila was preceded in death by her husband, Homer, her parents, Mose and Marie, brother Anthony and sister Barbara. Special thanks to the staff at Bowling Green Manor for the love and care they showed Sheila for the years that she resided there.
