Sheldon Nathaniel Ford, our beloved son, grandson, father, brother, uncle and friend, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the age of thirty-two years.
Sheldon was born August 19, 1986 in Oceanside, California to the union of Michael and Chaunta Ford. He was a graduate of Bay City Central High School, “Class of 2004”, where he played varsity football and was a member of the Ebony Club. Sheldon was a graduate of Flint Barber Institute. He also attended Delta College, where he started his degree in business management and later graduated with high honors from Jackson Community College with a Dual Associates Degree in Business Administration and General Studies. He was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society of community colleges.
Sheldon accepted Christ into his life at a young age and was a member of the Historic Second Baptist Church where he participated in the Youth Choir, Power teens and tots (puppets), the youth group, and The Boyz miming group. He also sang with Sterling Brooks & The Connections.
Sheldon was first employed at age fourteen at McDonalds and ended his employment journey working at Boost Mobile, which he absolutely loved. He was such a people person. He was well known and loved working with others. He was kind and wanted to help everyone. His smile, his presence, his personality, and his warm heart will truly be missed. He was too great of a person to ever be forgotten.
On Wednesday, October 24, 2018, Sheldon joined his father, Michael Ford; grandfathers, Nathaniel Burney, Arnold “EA” Bolton; brother, Marcus Deon Ford; uncle, Hayward Ford; and first cousin, Lonniece Williams, who all preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory mother, Chaunta R. Ford; two sons, TreShaun M. Ford (Gainesville, Florida), Jonathan N. Ford (Bay City, Michigan); grandmothers, Mae Burney, Delores Bolton; five sisters, Ashelie NiKhira(Jason) Ford, Chamika LeMae(Daniel) Ford, DaMyla Robinson, Gabrielle Grace, Makayla Deyonne Ford; four brothers, Michael Robinson, Joshua Ford, Nolan Ford, Ariq McCulloh; nieces and nephews, JaMiyla, Laikynn, D’Pariis, Daniel, Michah, Michael, Miquel, Corey, Cornell, Destiny, Joshua Jr., and JaeOnna Ford; aunts, Arnell Ford, Arnette (Earnest) Davis, Davina (Darryl) Bolton, Sarina (McArthur) Poydras; uncles, Andrew Burney, Fred G. Burney; godparents, Carolyn (Suede) Washington, fiancé, Dawn Santoviz; godsisters, Shawnterria Lee, Felicity Wright; godbrother, Bryant McCain, II; many other relatives, friends and close cousins, Quenessa “Tink” Miller, Brandon Burney and Michael Burton “Pops.”
