Ms. Shenice Lashon Jackson passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at St. Mary’s of Michigan-Saginaw. Age 40 years. She was born on August 21, 1977 in Saginaw, Michigan to Ruby Ann Jackson and Gregory Akins, Sr.
Shenice was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan. She was a graduate of Buena Vista High School “Class of 1995.” She had been employed at the Saginaw Club for several years. Shenice was a very outgoing person, and was a “Hustle Queen.” She loved cooking, spending time with her children, family, special cousins, and friends. Shenice loved getting her hair, nails and toes done, and she loved to dress.
She leaves to cherish loving memories her companion, Odie Furye; two daughters, Quintasia Hubbert and Jada Lowe; one son, Kevon Jackson; godson, Tylan Hopkins; four grandchildren, Kaiden Parchman, Karmello, Khalil and Londyn Morgan, all of Saginaw, Michigan; her father and step-mother, Gregory Sr. (Japthea) Akins; two brothers, Gregory Akins, Jr., Tramond Akins, both of Saginaw, Michigan; two sisters, Tremonisha Akins, Saginaw, Michigan, and Kindra Goodman, Charlotte, North Carolina; nieces, Ciara, Kiara, Tiara, JaiMyra, Danaisa, Malaya and Ga’Niya Akins, Ruby, Gabbrielle, ShaRaeyah Akins, Kimberly Goodman; three nephews, Eathen Piles, Jeremiah Akins, Trenton Akins; seven aunts, Rosa N. Coleman, Kathryn (James) Owens, Brenda (Tyrone) Sanders, Cherly Green, Freddie Mae Marshall, Theresa (Burley) Lamar, Beverly (Robert) Hill; four uncles, Warren E. Jackson, Andrew (Helga) Akins, Derrick Sr. (Alisa) Akins, Dwight (Shalanda) Akins; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Antoria Fleming, Jena Thigpen, Sharron Hopkins, Lee Young, Reba Davis and Bruce Jones.
Shenice was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Jackson; grandparents, Booker T. (Rosa Lena) Jackson, Fred (Willie Mae) Akins; uncles and aunt, Darryl Akins, Sr., Frederick Lee Jackson, Booker T. Jackson, Jr., James Lloyd (Sarah) Jackson; cousins, Paulette and Jon Jackson; special cousin, Tonquinisha McKinley.
