Mr. Shermein Delmont Cooper passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. Age 43 years. He was born on November 3, 1974 in Saginaw, Michigan to Theresa Cooper and Sammy (Mary) Davis.
Shermein was his father’s only child. He graduated from Whitmore Lake College. Shermein accepted the Lord as Savior and attended Mount Carmel Church under the leadership of Pastor Miles Franklin. He was a great father, husband, son, brother, and friend. Shermein was known to most as “Mr. 100”. He enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking, watching sports, smoking blunts, playing lotto, and going to his favorite place, the casino. Shermein was well loved and respected.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Simone Cooper; eleven daughters, Ari’Reyuana Nash, Tiarra McKinney, Sharmiana, Sha’Qaruis, Quinae, Shar’Mein, Shar’Mia Mimi, Shermeasia, Shermeisha, Sher’Myrah, Sharmiracle; ten sons, Shermein, Jr., Yohannas, Sher’Moni, Demashean, Delmont, Shermein Keshon, Shermein Delmontae, Shermein Stephon, Shermonte Cooper, and DeOnte Collins, all of Saginaw, Michigan; four grandchildren, Tyrrell Green, Jr., Raelynn Brown, Trumaine McCullough, and Deasia Adams; mothers, Theresa Cooper, Doris West; father, Sammy (Mary) Davis; grandmother, Mary l. Cooper; four brothers, Evee (Arial) Cooper, Tialer Cooper, Alfred Moncrief, and Perris Moncrief; one step-sister, Rayna Smith, all of Saginaw, Michigan; aunts, Phyllis Cooper, Trina Sneed; uncles, James Gordon, Randy Cooper, Reginnald Cooper; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including two close friends, William Taylor and Otis Ray and god-sister, Jasmine Lipsey.
Shermein was preceded in death by his son, Quintae Cooper; and grandparents, Emma Lou Foster and Herman Cooper; great-grandparents, Willie Mae (Garth) Hickman, Annie Mae Rayford; aunt, Viola Davis; uncles Gene Earl, Henry Earl, and many other relatives and friends too many to mention.
The family expresses special thanks to the detectives assisting us; Rose Henderson, Gequeta McClain, Charmaine Wesley and Otis Ray for their unending support.
