Sheryl Denise Smith

March 15, 1967 — December 30, 2022

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Sheryl Denise Smith “Neicy” passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022, at her residence in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 55 years. She was born March 15, 1967, in Montgomery, Alabama, to Luola Smith Harper and Roy Williams.

Neicy was a vibe all by herself! She loved her fashion and dressing from head to toe. She enjoyed basketball, cooking, eating crab legs, playing cards, dancing, and keeping a clean house. Most of all, Niecy enjoyed spending time and caring for her family and friends. She did not meet any strangers. She had a smile like no other; one that would light up the entire room. Sheryl will truly be missed by family and friends who love her dearly.

She leaves to cherish her memory her pride and joy, one son, Jeffery Hill, Jr. (she was always his number one supporter); five grandchildren whom she dearly cherished; Heaven Hill, London Coburn, Jeffery Hill III “J3”, Loyalty “Lil Dem,” and Royalty “Lil Neicy;” two sisters, Demerest (Brian) Fisher, Marsay Williams, Prattville, Alabama; one favorite sister-in-law, Asa Agnew; two brothers, Dion Smith Sr., and Tracy Williams; six nephews, LaVario Smith, Art Neil “Lucky” Smith, Dion Smith, Jr., Domonique Smith, LeVern McFadden, Jr., and Di’Lavonte Smith; one niece, Dyoni Smith; aunts, Mary (Will) Jackson, Mary Parham, Lula Lyons, Shirley Hughes, and Aline Ziggler; uncles, Nathaniel Bledson “Coonie,” and Sandy (Catherine) Bledson; a host of cousins, other relatives, and lifelong family and friends including the father of her son, Jeffery (Sharon) Hill, Sr., and her Annesley Street family; special friends, Ciesha Clark, Ashley Logan, Deanna “Jenny Ma” Hill, Regina Hayes, Arnise Williams, Leza Rice, Margretta Merrill, Sparkle Davis, Sheree Sheffield, and her “Ride or Die,” Flo.

Sheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Luola Smith Harper, Roy Williams, and stepfather, Louis Harper; one sister, Toschia V. Smith; nephew, Dionta Howard; grandparents, Will and Luzalia Smith; aunts, Willie Mae Wyatt, and Rosie Lee Smith; and uncles, Walter “Bo” Louis, and Will Louis Rosschild.
