Shiery (Lansing) Williams

Shiery J. Williams passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Sparrow Hospital. Age 75 years. She was born April 1, 1941 in Lansing, Michigan to Raymond Williams Keg and Etta Jean Johnson.

Shiery was a lifelong resident of Lansing, Michigan. She attended and graduated from J. W. Sexton High School. Shiery attended Lansing Business College in 1970 and Lansing Community College in 1980, where she received her Associates Degree in Business. She retired from the State of Michigan in 2000. Shiery became a member of Tabernacle of David Church in 2000. Her interest besides her family included a love for working on the computer and was an avid reader. Shiery was a very witty, humorous lady with much dignity and style.
Shiery leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Rhonda Harvey and Cherell Davis; one son, Chet D. Davis; granddaughter, Mikhara Harvey; great grandchildren, Jhirah Jackson, Heiress Jackson and Julian Myer; nieces, Sherry Taylor and Delaura Williams; cousins, Maxine Williams, Dolores Vance-Murray, Rina Brooks, Charlene Evans, and Homita Williams; many other relatives and friends including a special friend, Yvonne Cox-Simmons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Williams Keg and Etta Jean Johnson; son, Douglas Williams Pimp brother, Douglas Williams; grandparents, Sara Adams, Jean Johnson, Raymond Williams and Charles Paul Williams; uncle, Albert Kelley; cousins, Flamingo Brown, Terry L. Anderson, Kay Dungey, Debra Allen; and a special friend, Mavis Aikens.
