Mrs. Shirley Scott passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021, at her residence in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 71 years. She was born May 8, 1950, in Newellton, Louisiana to the late Joe and Inez Hill.

Shirley married the love of her life, the late Floyd Scott Sr., August 23, 1969. Shirley graduated from McCall Senior High School in Tallulah, Louisiana. She received a degree in Business Administration from Great Lakes Junior College. Shirley was employed at Meijer and Saginaw ISD Transportation. She attended New Life Baptist Church and was a child of God. Shirley loved her family, traveling, cooking, and she loved the blues, especially her favorite singer, Johnny Taylor. More than anything, Shirley loved spending time with her family and cooking big holiday meals. She will be deeply missed.

Shirley leaves to cherish her memories one, daughter, Stacia Scott, Saginaw, Michigan; one son, Floyd (Tishannie) Scott Jr., Louisville, Kentucky; adopted/grandchildren, Trayanna, Quaesha, D’Voncea, Thomas, and Le’Gerald Scott; three stepchildren, Priscilla Gray, Dallas, Texas, Andre Hill, Memphis, Tennessee, Tantileer Murphy, Memphis, Tennessee; grandchildren, Mercedes Griffin, James Jr. (Aarica) Griffin, Key’Arra Green, Za’Maria Nettles, Ivan Jackson Jr., Deja, Sanaya, Jasya; thirteen great- grandchildren; siblings, Neal (Wanda) Hill, Chicago, Illinois, Patricia (Sydney) Harvey, Tallulah, Louisiana, Mildred Hill, Vicksburg, Mississippi, Doris Scott, and Jennifer McReynolds, Saginaw, Michigan; special brother, Rodney Robinson; aunts, Genevieve Hymes, Columbus, Ohio, and Lizzie Robinson, Saginaw, Michigan; special cousins, Mary (Mose) Holmes, and Rosie lee, Newellton, Louisiana; other family members, James Scott, Greg Scott, Tantileer (Walter) Lampkin, Elaine Howell, Joanne Resser, Rose Todd, and Mable Martin; a host of special nieces , nephews, cousins, coworkers, and friends.

Shirley was preceded in death by her brothers, Sydney Jackson, Joe Willie Hill, and Curtis Hill, daughter, Cathy Scott, nephew, Reggie Lampkin, and special “road dog,” Lonnie Robinson.
