Stanford Laird

Our beloved son, brother and uncle, Mr. Stanford Riley Laird Jr. departed this earthly life on Friday, January 9, 2015 at the age of 31 years. He was born May 25, 1983 in Saginaw, Michigan to Stanford Laird Sr. and Emma Riley Laird.
Stanford was a resident of Bridgeport, Michigan. He was a 2002 graduate of Bridgeport High School. He was a faithful employee at Hemlock Semiconductor Plant. Stanford was a devoted and loving son who was always willing to help anyone in need. Stanford enjoyed outdoor activities, spending time with friends and playing video games. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and working with his hands, especially assembling remote control cars. Stanford was a shining light in the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. His presence will be truly missed.
He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Emma and Stanford Laird; one sister, Crystal Travis; three nieces, Sydney, Ryleigh and Troyana; four aunts, Annie Myrick, Bobbie Riley, Marilyn Riley and Frankie (Laird) Nalls; four uncles, John Nalls, Charles, Dudley and Robert Riley; one brother-in-law, William Travis; many other relatives and friends including special friends, James Giorgis, Chauncey Price and Michelle Snyder.
Stanford was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Rosie Lee and Leonard Riley Sr., paternal grandmother, Nellie Allen, three aunts, Evon Hudson, Louise Young and Mattie Harvey, one uncle, Leonard Riley Jr.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Ivan E. Phillips and the staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel and everyone who offered prayers, kind words and condolences.
