Stanley D. Banks

Mr. Stanley Banks passed away peacefully on Monday, October 5, 2015 at the age of 55 years. He was born October 16, 1959 in Saginaw, Michigan to James Sr. and Luberta Banks.
Stanley was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, Michigan. He was a graduate of Delta College, receiving a degree in Philosophy. He also received a degree in Welding from Gulfport, Mississippi. Stanley was previously employed with Yeager Asphalt. He enjoyed fishing, music, cooking, computers, riding bikes and traveling. Stanley loved the sand and ocean in Gulfport, Mississippi. It was one of his favorite places to visit. Stanley lived his life to the fullest. His famous quote was, live each day like it is your last. Gone too soon but never forgotten, his presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to celebrate his legacy his children, Shayla Banks and DeAndra Choice, both of Saginaw, Michigan; one grandson, DeAndra Choice Jr.; twelve sisters, Doris Quinn and Sherry (Alfredrick) Houston both of Elkhart, Indiana, Patricia (Eddie) Knight of Omaha, Nebraska, Overzenia Laster, Gloria, Banks, Barbara Watkins, Kimberly K. Hardy, Linda J. Nunn and Shirley McClung all of Saginaw, Michigan, Pearline Surles of Battle Creek, Michigan, Jamaya Weems and Aqueelah Hasan both of Flint, Michigan; two brothers, Sylvester (Teresa) Banks and Jody Nunn (Leslie Brown) both of Grand Rapids, Michigan; several nieces and nephews including his special nieces and nephew, Keyana Knight Price, Tayana Knight and Eddie Knight Jr.; one aunt, Earnestine Anderson; one uncle, Robert Lee McCleb; many other relatives and friends including his special friend, Warren Abernathy.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lueberta Banks, one brother, James Banks Jr., one nephew, Deon Banks, one special friend, Julius Hardy.
The family would like to express special thanks to everyone who offered expressions of concern and heartfelt sympathy.
