Stanley S. Roper (Lansing)

Stanley Shabazz Roper passed away Monday, January 6, 2025, at his residence in Lansing, Michigan, at 41 years old. He was born on Wednesday, August 31, 1983, to parents, Stanley Roper and Cora Jackson in Lansing, Michigan. 

Stanley was a son, father, and brother who was loved by many and had an undeniable presence and a smile that brightened the room. Growing up, he loved sports whether he was in the game or watching it .Stanley was always close to his family and friends. He always watched over and protected his loved one. Stanley was a factory worker for many years, and he was a hardworking man who provided for his children. He was a very spiritual man who had a firm belief in the Lord. He was always giving wisdom and knowledge to those in need. He also enjoyed peaceful walks by the river, and he was a good son, great brother, and an awesome father who was always blessed and loved and will never be forgotten. 

Stanley leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Malaysia; sons, Stanley Roper, Jr., Javon Roper and Dawayne Roper; sisters, Shamarah Roper, Ashley Roper and Shante Roper; brother, Shoun Roper; nieces, Shatoryia Coley, Amya Scates, Sharmonie Roper, Shauntelle Roper, Shoun’niyah Roper, Lataya Williams; nephews, Jakyree Roper, Shamarie Coley, Archie Scates, Alvaunte Scates, Tayshaun Roper and Tayven Roper; aunts, Janette Roper, Cylinda Hackman, Sandra Jackson and Janice Jackson; uncles, Russell Joy, Bobby Joy, Elijah Jackson, Jr., Terry Jackson and Eesa Abdul Hakim Roper; cousins, Anita, Michael, Dennis, Kevin, Ronnie, Dominique, Adrian, Candice, Randy, Commodore, Patrick, Keisha, Preston, Kenneth, Derrick, Demetrius, Jacora, Jerry Jr., Kelly, Christy, Shalonda, Shakeya, Robert, Roy, Dawayne, Dianne, Kim, Jack Jr., Cammille, Rakia, Denon and Joseph; many other relatives and friends including special friends, including; Leroy, John Tyrice, Jerry and Christian.
