Stefanie Cooper Shehee

Stefanie Renee Cooper Shehee, age 49, transitioned peacefully to her heavenly home on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 in Minden, Louisiana. She was born September 25, 1971 in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of Clinter Roy and Shirley Ann Cooper.

Stefanie, affectionally known as “ Nay Nay”, grew up in Saginaw, Michigan before relocating to Minden, Louisiana in 2007. She graduated from Ruben Daniels in 1996, obtaining her high school diploma. She worked many years in customer service and retail. She loved meeting new people and always had a huge smile on her face. When someone would ask her name, she would always say Stefanie with a “F”.

Stefanie loved spending time with her daughters and grandchildren and talking with her mom regularly on the phone. She did not birth any sons but she treated her nephew, Eric Brown and bonus son, Decimeon Shehee as her own. She shared a birthday with her oldest niece, Jasmin Young, who she called Razzy, and she never missed one birthday call. She so loved all her siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her beautiful smile and vivacious personality will truly be missed.

Stefanie was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Harmony Burns; father, Clinter Roy Cooper; brothers, Leroy Brown Jr. and Carl Van Cooper; favorite brother-in-law, Jonathan Young; grandparents, Lille Jackson, James and Demona Jackson, Annie Stidhum, Nathan Cooper; uncles, James Jackson, Jr., Jefferey Lauderdale and Ronald Mobley; aunts, Diane Jackson, Archia Allen; best friend, Dawan Barnes.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Joe Shehee Jr.; daughters, Kiara and Sharman Shehee, both of Minden, Louisiana; bonus daughter, Bianca Mendez; seven grandchildren, Tristan and Peyton Shehee, Blu Burks, Heaven and Hope Burns, Honesty and Hailey Shehee; mother, Shirley Cooper; stepmother, Dorothy Cooper; sisters, Robin Brown Young and Katrina Clark, both of Orlando, Florida, Latisha Fuller, Tiffany Hicks and Tonya Patrick, all of Saginaw Michigan, Itonya Goodwine, Arlington, Tennessee; brother, David Clark, Saginaw, Michigan; aunts, Sheila Mobley, Lisa Jackson, Annie Sue (Daniel) Goodwine, Emma Haines, Debra Clark, Millie Stewart, Carolyn (Anthony) Baber, Barbara Hoskins, Lisa Long, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Phyllisha Jackson, Detroit, Michigan, Vanessa Lauderdale, Kansas City, Missouri, Cindy Jackson, Benton Harbor, Michigan; uncles, Charles (Linda) Stidhum (who called her Mickey Face), Saginaw, Michigan, Nathan Cooper Jr. and Dennis Brown, both of Benton Harbor, Michigan; many nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends, including special friend Samuel Morgan of Minden, Louisiana, childhood friend Sylvia Whittington and the entire Whittington Family.
