Stephany Terry (Lansing)

Mrs. Stephany Terry passed away Sunday, October 15, 2023, in Lansing, Michigan, at the age of 73 years. She was born June 6, 1950, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to parents, Reverend Howard E. Johnson and Ruby Haskins.

Stephany’s family relocated to Lansing, Michigan, where she would graduate from Sexton High School and attend Lansing Community College; she completed the Cosmetology program within two years. However, Stephany would switch career paths, becoming a Caregiver with over 30 years of service in that industry.

She accepted God into her life as a young child, attending many churches throughout her 73 years. Stephany enjoyed finding a home as a member of Mind, Body, Soul Outreach Ministries Church in Lansing, Michigan.

Stephany would be blessed with two sons, Damon and Andre. Her sons and their children, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were Stephany’s pride and joy. She was happiest surrounded by family and was considered the glue that held them all together. She will be missed beyond measure.

She leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Damon Lamar Johnson and Andre Rysean Johnson; stepson, Ashley Terry; grandchildren, Brandon Williams, Damonte Johnson, Denise Johnson, Tyrese Johnson, Deyonce Johnson, Damon Johnson, Jai Johnson, Jayse Johnson, Nikiya Smith, And Nakayla Smith; great-grandchildren, Zaiden, Erinn, Elijah, and Ambrieja; mother, Ruby Quarles; brothers, Mike Quarles and Reggie Quarles; and sisters-in-law, Marsha Quarles and Beverly Quarles.

Stephany was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Terry; father, Reverend Howard Edward Johnson; stepfather, Reverend Henry H. Quarles; brothers, Larry E. Johnson and David E. Johnson; and grandson, Damon Lamar Johnson, Jr. “Man Man”.
