Steven Austin of Lansing, Michigan passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013 at McLaren-Greater Lansing Hospital. Age 38 years. He was born April 2, 1974 in Jackson, Mississippi to Maria Gene Austin.
Steven attended Lansing Community College. If you ever needed a laugh or something to brighten your day, just get together with Big Red. Steve always had a joke to tell that might not have seemed funny but the way he would say it would always bring a smile to your face. He was a wonderful father and his presence will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory the love of his life, Rivia Harris and their children, Steven Jr., Rivia, Amber, Mya, Nautica and Julian, Jaylon; his 1st born daughter, Tamara Austin and her mother, Nately Barny; two stepchildren, Sonja and Devin Lee; three grandchildren, Taniya, Ameria and Tavaya; one sister, Becky Austin Scott; one niece, Davenport Scott; two nephews, Darion J. and DaMario J. Scott; aunts, Jamie Austin and Abbie Blackmon, both of Lansing, Michigan, Daisy Blackmon and Sallie Thomas, both of Mississippi; one uncle, Edward Blackmon, Lansing, Michigan; many other relatives and friends.
Steven was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Gene Austin, three aunts, Irene Veal, Mable Gentry, Betty Smith, three uncles, Jasper Austin, J.D. Austin, Onie Austin.
