Tamala Ragland-Jones

Tamala Lashaun Ragland- Jones passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013. Age 40 years. She was born August 3, 1973 in Saginaw, Michigan to George and Adell McKnight Jones.
Tamala was born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan but was currently a resident of Mesa, Arizona. She was a 1991 graduate of Buena Vista High School where she was nominated class clown. Tamala was very outgoing and warm-hearted. She would always make others smile with her jokes. Tamala took pride in being creative and unique with her nail work. In Saginaw, Michigan she has worked at Rambo House, David Mack Salon, Reflections of U Too, DuJour Nails and Exceptional Hair and Nails. In Mesa, Arizona, she was employed at Alexander Abilities, Emertis at Baywood and Fellowship Square. Her hobbies were doing nails, make-up, cooking and shopping. She enjoyed traveling, roller-skating, going to the movies and listening to music. Tamala loved spending time with her number one grandson and two daughters. She was very adventurous and liked to explore new and exciting things. Tamala was a very trustworthy woman whose presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Antionne Lashaun and Antionesha Laushaun Helton of Mesa, Arizonia; one grandchild, Kenyen Roosevelt Helton of Mesa, Arizona; stepmother, Mattie Bell Jones; three sisters, Sabrina and Zenobia Ragland, Rochelle (Greg) Burch-Patterson; two brothers, William Ragland Jr. and Wendell Ragland; four stepbrothers, Arthur and Ray Carpenter, Jeff (Sharon) and Michael Hill; eight nieces, Courtney and Shanna Jones, ShaTeria Robinson, Akia, Felicia, Sharnice, Irene and Brandy Ragland; nine nephews, Marquise and Kendrick Ragland, Terris Robinson, Antwan McCaskell, Marcus Coston, Isaiah and Issac Ragland, Fabian and Wendell Jenkins; three aunts, Marie Kiodo and Lillian Blyther, both of Detroit, Michigan, Tresse Brown of Kansas City, Kansas; two uncles, Joseph (Lillie) McKnight and Biegia McKnight; several cousins including a special cousin, Uzena McKnight Baqui many other relatives and friends including special friends, Torrie Lee Smith, Amy Hudspeth-Epperson, Mechelle Williams, Yvonne Anaya of Mesa, Arizona and Terri Mason.
Tamala was preceded in death by her parents, George and Adell McKnight-Jones; grandparents, Drida Blyther, Mattie Bell-Jones, Cody Jones, Felicia and Jonan McKnight; one sister, Zelda Ragland; her fianc, Roosevelt Antione Helton III.
