Tanyana Booker (Lansing)

Ms. Tanyana Booker went home to join the Lord on December 13, 2022. Age 74 years. Tanyana (Tonya) was born to James C. and Carra Mae Moten on December 18, 1948, in Jackson, Michigan.

Tonya graduated class of 1967 from Parkside High School in Jackson, Michigan.

Tonya moved to Houston, Texas in 1982, where she worked at Compaq Computer and Halliburton.

Tonya enjoyed going to the casino, watching T.V., especially Soap Operas, listening to music, and spending time with her beloved family. She was known by many for speaking her mind.

Tonya leaves to cherish her wonderful memories; two children, Patrick Duane Booker of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Katina (Timmie, Sr.) Denice Smith of Lansing, Michigan; sibling, Pamela Jackson of Texas; grandchildren, Jermaine Glaspie of Atlanta, Georgia, Michael Scott of Atlanta Georgia, Yaazmin Scott of Lansing, Michigan, and Timmie Smith, Jr. of Lansing, Michigan; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other loved relatives.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James C. and Carra Mae Moten; her brother, Duane Moten; and special nephew, Wayman L. Cooper (Mockie).
