Tarsheikia Beasley (Lansing)

Ms. Tarsheikia “Monique” Beasley passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018 at her residence in Lansing, Michigan. Age 43 years. She was born June 7, 1975 in Lansing, Michigan to parents, Winford and Dorothy Akins.

Monique, as we called her, was a caring and loving person. She loved her family, children and grandchildren unconditionally. No matter how old her children grew, she treated them as her babies’ with so much love, care and support. Monique loved visits from her nieces and nephews. Her loud laughs and big smiles will be forever missed. Monique loved going on trips, visiting family and sightseeing. She was always filled with positive energy. Monique attended Sexton High School and later took trade classes for real estate and business. She also loved construction. Monique was taken from us suddenly; called home to be with the Lord on June 7, 2018. She will be greatly missed.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Oniya Akins and Davonna Akins; three sons, DáQuan Bowser, Davone Bowser and Ónaje Miller; eight grandchildren, DáQuan Bowser, Jr., Princess Bowser, Ésani Bowser, ZýOna Bowser, Zybrielle Bowser, Gabriel Bowser, Davone Browser, Jr. and Deadrick Bowser; parents, Winford and Dorothy Akins; sisters, Victoria Brown, Shanetta Beasley, Andrea Akins, Allyssa Akins; one brother, Lenar Beasley, Sr.; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her baby boy, Elijah Brown; grandparents, Jim and Jessie Collins; two sisters, Augustine and Angelia Beasley and her nephew, Michael Adams.
