Taylor Malik Burton "Tay"

Taylor Malik Burton was tragically taken by senseless gun violence on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the age of 20 years. He was born on July 19, 2004, in Saginaw, Michigan, to his loving parents, Tiffany and Damion Burton.

Taylor was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan, where he attended Saginaw Public Schools, and was a graduate of Bridgeport High School, Class of 2023. He was employed by Peoplelink Staffing and had been hired to work at Wal-Mart in Stocking. Taylor had many hopes and dreams which he had just started to pursue by enrolling to attend the Auto Diesel Institute of Michigan.

Taylor was an avid participant in all sports Amateur Athletic Union “AAU” over many years and excelled in all aspects, gaining reverence from peers and family. Taylor was a genuinely kind, loving, and charismatic young man. He enjoyed dancing, cracking jokes, and making TikTok videos with his twin sister, Mia. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family creating memories that will be cherished forever. Taylor thought he was the best dressed and smoothest person to walk this earth. He was the life of all gatherings and would light up the room wherever he went. Taylor’s smile was everything.

Taylor is survived by his parents, Damion and Tiffany Burton; siblings: Damion Burton, Ariana Addison, Tyanada Woods, Diamond Burton, Xavier Burton, Tia Cooper-Blair Burton, Ta’Mia Burton, Sparkle Burton, Ceyonce Jeffries, Omariana Blair, and Aubrey “Sugar Bun” Jones, Andre Blair Jr; grandfather, Ollie L. Blair Sr; aunts: Katrina Burton, Camera Moses, Portia Bradshaw, Kenyata Berrien, Julie Blair, Tekesha Jones, Shantoya Blair, and Lillian Jones; uncles: Andre Blair Sr, Mike Blair, Pastors Eugene (Melissa) Burton, Ivory (Daphine) Burton, Desmond Jefferies, and Olander Bradshaw; nephew: Damari “Bartholomew” Burton; nieces: Ila, Onterya, Siyora; godmother, Katherine Rivers; a host of cousins, friends, and other relatives including special ones, Donyae and Ollie Blair, Onquice and Sky Burton, Tramaya Blair, Charvion Tull, Jeremiah Harris, and his girlfriend, Mashela Whelton.

Taylor was preceded in death by his grandparents: Gloria Blair, Lovell Jones, Eugene “Geno” Moses, and Debra Jefferies; cousins: Dominque Garth, and Ronyell Burton.
