Terrence Robinson (Lansing)

January 24, 1991 — October 4, 2022

Mr. Terrence Robinson was born January 24, 1991, in Detroit, Michigan, to Kimberly Robinson and Keith Dunlap. Terrence was raised by Scholonne “Che” Swanson-Basey. At the age of 8, Terrence and his family relocated to Lansing, Michigan where he received an education in the Lansing School District.

Terrence worked as a mechanic; he enjoyed working on and refurbishing all types of cars. His hobbies included taking things apart and repairing them.

He loved his family endlessly. Spending time with his family, making them laugh and often referring to his mother, Kim, as “White Lady”, will be fond memories that Terrence’s loved ones will hold dear to their hearts.

Terrence loved his blue 1998 Chevy Caprice Classic; it was his pride and joy along with his go-cart. Terrence loved to race cars; anytime, anyplace. Cars were his passion!

He joined Mind, Body and Soul Outreach Ministries in June of 2014 and eventually brought his mother, Kim and brother, DaVontae Robinson-Johnson to be active members. His sister, Angel visited often with he and his mother. Terrence was a believer in Christ Jesus and had his own way of expressing it.

Terrence leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Telinah Robinson; his son, Terrence Robinson, Jr.; loving mother, Kimberly Robinson; sister, Angel Robinson; brother, DaVontae Robinson; nephews, Jaysian Williams, Giovanni Johnson, Kingston Bolton-Johnson; grandmothers, Myrna, Lisa, Diane, Janie, Bernie, and Mother Lupe; Great Grandad Marzette Robinson and many half-siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends, including devoted close friend of the family who will miss him dearly, Rachael Trevino.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Francine Robinson, Alice Tucker, Vera Brooks; grandfathers, Clarence Brooks and Frank Miers; great-grandmothers, Geneva Bracy and Lanie Tucker; his Aunt Betty Hyde, who lovingly called him “T’Mar”; and his nephew, Pharoah Robinson.

Terrence was a kind and loving person he will be deeply missed by all. We must take comfort at knowing he is at peace.
