Terrence Simmons (Lansing)

Mr. Terrence Rene Simmons departed this life on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Sparrow hospital surrounded by his family. He was 58 years old. He is the son of Pearl (Jones) Geiger and the late Theodore R. Simmons, Jr. and was born on August 21, 1964, in Lansing, Michigan.

He was a proud graduate of Everett High School class of 1982, in Lansing, Michigan.

Terrence was an avid fisherman, you could find him fishing from the banks of the Grand River, Harstine Island or anywhere water flowed. You could also find him on the grill or in the kitchen cooking what he caught and sharing it with family and friends.

Terrence (Youngen) was a proud member of the Lansing Dragons Motorcycle Club from 1984 - present, also serving a club president in 2013 and 2022.

As an adult, Terrence accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was baptized at the Good Samaritan Lutheran Church in Pontiac, Michigan. Where he served as the Congregational President from 2007-2008.

Terrence leaves to cherish his memory his son Domonique Simmons of Lansing, Michigan;  four grandchildren, Jayden, Aniyah, Mikaela and Domingo Simmons all of Lansing, Michigan; mother, Pearlie (Jones) Geiger and stepmother, Karen Simmons; grandmother, Annie Phillips; three brothers, Reginald (Lakeisha) Baldwin of Lansing, Michigan, Theodore (Ruth) Simmons, III of Okemos, Michigan, Dante Burrell of Lansing, Michigan; three sisters, Tia (Miguel) Cunningham of Snellville, Georgia, Trina Austin-Morrison of Lansing, Michigan, and Susan Griffin of Lansing, Michigan; uncle, Johnnie (Delores) Phillips of Texas; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Theodore R. Simmons, Jr, and his sister, Theresa Denise Simmons.
