Terry L. Reed (Lansing)

Mr. Terry Lawrence Reed had his name called by God on Friday, January 8, 2021, in Lansing, Michigan. Age 78 years. He was born on October 27, 1942, to his parents, George Washington Reed, Sr. and Dorothy Faye Smith-Reed of Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Terry was a resident of Lansing, Michigan for over 50 years and was a member of Prepare the Way Ministries. He worked in the trucking industry for over 30 years as a truck driver. He enjoyed traveling out west to California. His favorite truck was a Western Star. He also enjoyed motorcycles; Gold Wing was his preference. Terry will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves to cherish his memory five children, Gwendolyn Reed, Jacqueline Hill, Kenneth Reed, and Roland Luiz all of Lansing, Michigan, and Kevin (LaTeesha) Reed of Dyersburg, Tennessee; 17 grandchildren, LaToya Allen, Jeffrey Allen, Tyrell (Yomaira) Reed, Ingrid (Joseph) Crook, Chanel Reed, Tenee Cooper, James Reed, Kevin Reed, Jr., Kurtis Reed, Alexis Wells, Roland Luiz, Jr., Rolaishia Luiz, Kasai Luiz, Rolando Luiz, Royalty Luiz, Tomaz Reed, and Neveah Reed; 15 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friend, Beverly Sorrells and best friends, Butch Sweet and Mary Booth.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ethel Mai Collins; brothers James Calvin Reed, Johnnie Reed, Bobbie Read, and George Reed, Jr.; and granddaughter, Diamond Luiz.
